Manage Your Team
This guide covers managing your OpenLynk organization, including inviting team members, assigning roles, and configuring organization settings.
Prerequisites
- An OpenLynk account
- Owner or Admin role in your organization (required to manage members)
Organization Structure
OpenLynk uses a multi-tenant organization model. Each organization is an independent workspace containing its own apps, links, team members, and billing. Users can belong to multiple organizations.
Roles and Permissions
OpenLynk has three roles with different levels of access:
| Permission | Owner | Admin | Member |
|---|---|---|---|
| View apps and links | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Create and edit links | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Create and manage apps | Yes | Yes | No |
| Manage team members | Yes | Yes | No |
| Configure custom domains | Yes | Yes | No |
| Send push notifications | Yes | Yes | No |
| Access billing and plans | Yes | No | No |
| Delete organization | Yes | No | No |
Each organization must have exactly one Owner. The Owner role cannot be shared.
Invite Team Members
- Open the Settings page in the dashboard.
- Navigate to the Members section.
- Click Add Member.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Select a role (Admin or Member).
- Click Send Invite.
The invited user receives an email with a link to join your organization. If they do not have an OpenLynk account, they will be prompted to create one.
Invite team members with the Member role for contributors who need to create and view links but should not have access to app configuration or team management.
Remove Team Members
- Go to the Settings page → Members.
- Find the team member you want to remove.
- Click Remove.
- Confirm the removal.
Removing a team member immediately revokes their access to the organization. Links and apps they created remain in the organization.
Transfer Ownership
Ownership transfer is not yet supported. The organization Owner is currently set at creation time and cannot be changed. This feature is planned for a future release.
Organization Settings
Configure your organization's basic settings:
- Go to the Settings page.
- Update the following as needed:

- Click Save.
Data Export
Export all of your organization's data for backup or migration purposes:
- Go to the Settings page.
- Find the Export Data section.
- Click Export.
- Download the exported file.
Data export is available on the Pro plan and above. See Manage Billing and Plans for plan details.
